"Think happy thoughts…and boys will buy you diamonds!"

This just goes to show you, if you gather super talented style mavens and give them a few things (i.e. stickers and such) they can make a masterpiece. I'd give up alot to be this guy!

These Have Been Finished...

Just never put the pic up....'Til NOW!

Two Boys=><= One Bow...

Here's a thought, let's fast forward to a day when everyone wears there own creations or one-of-a-kinds. Everyone will look the same so we'll have to stand out with our fashions. Not by getting what everyone else is at the MALL. I'll still be alive, entirely made out of plastic or something, and I'll wear this EVERYWHERE!

This.....I'm not sure what to call it...."over sized tulle bow necklace?" was Featured in the John Galliano Fall Winter 2009 runway show and I will either be hunting it down or making one before too long. Clearly anything that fantastic is necessary!

The Boy Got Deffensive Over Clothes...

ME: You like clothes?

HIM: I don't like shopping to be honest.

ME: eh

HIM: what?

ME: Its not everything, I like the dressing aspect more than the shopping. (not entirely true)

HIM: Oh, I could care less what I wear.

ME: You wouldnt wear a skirt would you?

HIM: No, I meant as in guy clothes, I don't and never will dress like a girl.

ME: Right, but you care enought to make that statement.

HIM: wow, that's annoying.

That We Can Become OAK Trees....

I'm so of this find! www.oaknyc.com/ is the home of my dream wardrobe! I want everything. I was actually looking for an example of a frame that looks a bit like these cage sandals I've created (yay more Duct Tape fashion!) and I thought of some Phillip Lim ones I'd browsed at Eluxury.com I believe. So I google imaged PL men's sandals and the image of the boy with the brick colored coat (mythic) came up and I had to check it out. BOOM! Oak. So eventually I saw the sandals you see below, by Acne, which are a good likeness. Hurray. Check it out. There're great women's wear pieces toooo!

Quoth The Maven...

So as usual I was traipsing around some blogs and online shopping hot spots, and I came across some style that I'd seen before but I regret to say my closet is lacking! www.allsaints.com/ Has an uber dark brooding quality with plenty of leather and knits. None of which my wardrobe is estranged from. I tend to mix mine with brights and statement items that "pop". Without; I find it monotonous and fashion isn't fun without whimsy. So for neutral staples with a high-style twist; this is perfect. There aren't many things on the site that I don't now need!

Secondly.... I discovered www.polyvore.com/ which for the most part acts as a mirror for outfits you may want or already have. One can mix clothes and accessories from a pool of popular websites and create a whole look. I pieced some things I already owned together which I already knew looked good, with the same result there. YAY accurate depictions!

-NEWS-FLASH-

It's unbelievably hard to take a picture that emotes something similar to another image while trying to show a garment while ALSO trying to hold a camera and model. I deserve a pat on the back, even for this sorry snapshot. I finally got batteries for my little camera, as I'd usually use my cell phone camera, that is not available as my phone is in two pieces.

My duct tape cage vest is done and phenomenal, yet I'm still at a toss up whether or not I should where it in public. My patters came a bit from a vest I already own and the other one here from leather but since the other is some kind of kink-wear... I don't want to bring unto myself that same energy. I want to walk out the door looking edgy but not like I should be spanked.

How Does One Become A Butterfly?

Finally spring seems to have set in and things are appearing that I hadn't realized I've missed; Flowers, the color green, bumblebees, and butterflies! A still-perfect temperature provides the pleasantries of a sunny day without the grief of heat! Moving from weather to the top news stories of the day; I'm throwing some Monarch themed pics in here to show of how lovely they are!

The dress I can't seem to find a source for but I'd love to know. It's so well interpreted. The Migration photo is accredited to "Buck Cash".

Back to things which are lovely; I've just added Sandhurst from Make Me A Supermodel as a friend on Facebook. Any who'd like to do the same just Google Sandhurst Miggins as I have. I hope you take it all the way buddy!

As If He Were Royalty...

"My crown is in my heart, not in my head, Nor decked with diamonds and Indian stones, Nor to be seen; my crown is called contentment; A crown it is, that seldom kings enjoy" -William Shakespeare.

I care for Mr. S dearly, yet why can I not be happy with a contented heart AND diamonds on my brow? I'm sure I could manage. This quote for some reason brought me to think about The Little Mermaid. She was oceanic royalty and she gave it all up to literally kick back with some dude. A wealthy dude with a title no doubt but still. He wasn't the only "fish in the sea" har har har. Could I be happy if I couldn't wear nice things and show off a little? Could many? I personally would feel not myself without my wardrobe but if it were taken away I'm sure I could evolve and compensate for my missing pieces through some other way of self expression.

These crowns (excuse my not knowing where I found them) I would absolutely wear all the time if I were to suddenly be told I had some royal genes. People would know GDI!

Word To The Wise...

First and foremost it's necessary that I tell EVERYONE to head to http://www.snapple.com/ and check out the home page. There you should see three bottles, the first plastic one is pomegranate raspberry red tea. Go buy it NOW. It's changed my life, I crave it at all points during the day. I can't find a pic anywhere but I've been freezing it a little so it's like a slushy! OH-MY-FANTASMAGASM.
In other news....this is the part where I show you a pretty photo and explain it.

I have this older issue of Teen Vogue I believe that features Anne Hathaway in some crazy couture. It's where I really started to take note of her as an icon and now she's close to the top of my list. I'm sure she'd like my snapple slush!

Once Upon A Timeless Classic...

Legacy. Loaded word being that it's only six letters. Same as my name. What lasts and gets more popular with time better than fashion? Fairy tales perhaps? What happens when you combine each? Something spectacular. I found one image last night that suggested maybe there were more, and sure enough, I was digging up stories left and right. So many memories. Remember that part in Beauty And The Beast where she washes his wound and he growls? I still jump, as I did out of my seat when I came upon all this nostalgia.

Vogue Espana 2003 had exactly what I'd expect to find when I google Fairytale fashion. All the classic damsels in distress looking uber-flawless in some haunting environment. Genius.
The last image here is from Vogue 04 or 05, it was unclear but it reminded me distinctly of Rapunzel.

What's any Fairytale without a villainous witch? This one from V magazine is innocent enough, and you can't have a witch without a Dorothy!
